VOTE Obama/Biden

The fam headed out early this morning to vote for Obama! We brought Leo with us to the polls for the historic occassion. Jill tried to get him to chant O-bam-a, O-bam-a. Leo was more interested in all the other people in line than campaigning for Barack. It was a great day!

Chirp or Treat

Our Leo Bird was a bird for Halloween. Leo's good friend Kristin got him decked out in an awesome costume. Here he is celebrating early at Gesthamane Gardens.

More BBQ please

This summer Smoke Daddy's became a huge hit with Leo. The mac-and-cheese, sweet potato fries and baby back ribs hit the spot. And the banana cream pie he spits with his dad just makes every trip there all the sweeter.

Apple pickin'

We celebrated Brandon's birthday this year by going apple picking with the cousins and grabbed a pumpkin while we were at it. Leo loved collecting the apples. He and his dad made a great team. Leo took the grounded apples, while Dad went for the hard to reach ones.

Meet Me in St. L

We spent the Labor Day weekend in St. Louis. Leo got to hang with Baba and Jaja, as well as the Winters. We had a ball. And Leo had a fun adventure with a couple of ducks and a ton of fish.

Give me the keys, I'll drive

Leo has had a fascination with keys for some time now, but recently he discovered how much he loves being in the driver's seat of the car. He also experienced pure joy when he realized his power when turning the key in the ignition - beeping noises, lights, the radio all at once. It was almost more than his little body could bare. Hanging out in the car is now his favorite past time.

Fun with a front end loader

The best part of our home renovation project has been to see the joy a front end loader in our front yard has brought Leo. He and Dad are in heaven while at the construction site, which they visit together every day. They have so much in common already, neither can get enough of the tape measure.

Justin Roberts Live

This summer Leo saw his first live show- Justin Roberts live a Retro on Roscoe. Leo was more of an observer than a participating member of the kids mash pit. He spent most of his time eyeing up the other kids and dashing towards the backstage barriers. Regardless, we all had a ball!

A weekend in WI

We went to Milwaukee this weekend for the A to Z family reunion and a visit with Auntie Lora. Leo had a ball with Lora and all the Antoniewiczs, especially his cousins.

You can never be too safe.

Since the MS Ride, Leo has taken to wearing his bike helmet all the time. He wears it just walking around the yard or for walks around the neighborhood. While we're sure observers must think we are the most neurotic parents ever, we wouldn't think of discouraging him from wearing it. The sight makes us laugh every time.

Slurp!

This weekend Leo learned how to drink with a straw! And this was immediately followed by discovering the reverse ability to blow bubbles.

Team Antoniewicz

In support of the National MS Society, Team Antoniewicz joined hundreds of other riders for a weekend of biking through the farmland of northern Illinois. It was Leo's first long ride and first night of camping. It was a success all around. We covered over 35 miles each day and Leo slept blissfully under the stars - even if his parents were nudged awake a couple of times during the night due to his desire to get comfortable.

Big thanks to everyone who supported our ride by making a donation to the National MS Society. We greatly appreciate you joining us on this weekend of "firsts".
