Team Antoniewicz

In support of the National MS Society, Team Antoniewicz joined hundreds of other riders for a weekend of biking through the farmland of northern Illinois. It was Leo's first long ride and first night of camping. It was a success all around. We covered over 35 miles each day and Leo slept blissfully under the stars - even if his parents were nudged awake a couple of times during the night due to his desire to get comfortable.

Big thanks to everyone who supported our ride by making a donation to the National MS Society. We greatly appreciate you joining us on this weekend of "firsts".

Customer of the Month

Leo's first 15 seconds of fame! Sporting his birthday t-shirt, which was made at our neighborhood T-Shirt Deli, Leo was selected as the customer of the month for June. And yes, the sign does say, "This customer made us happier than a giant hoagie."

Post Ride Fun

Bike The Drive

Over Memorial Day Weekend, we kicked off summer with a ride down Lake Shore Drive. Like any smarter rider, Leo loaded up on carbs before we hit the start line. Leo rode shotgun behind Brandon; snoozing for most of the trip. He did wake up towards the end just in time for a few pictures.

Stop the Paparazzi

Express Yourself

At nearly 14 months, Leo has learned a couple of words. Dada and mama are locked in and "do" seems to be a clear attempt at "dog", but the "g" is proving to be difficult. While Leo has very few words at his disposal this certainly doesn't stop him from being an extremely expressive kid. His facial expressions and now hand gestures make up for whatever he is lacking in actual words.

Checking Out the 'Hood From My Stoop

No No No No No

Leo has become his own security system. After hearing "no" from us and Sylvia more times than we could ever count when attempting to climb the stairs, he now repeats "no no no no" when he approaches the first step of the staircase. Of course, this is not accompanied by his stopping. He just seems to think that's what one says when going up the steps.

What's so tasty about shoes, rocks and keys

Over the past month Leo has gone crazy for keys, shoes and rocks. All of which he likes best when in his mouth. And he loves the chase that ensues when his parents rush to fetch the rock locked behind his teeth or to pull the sole from his tongue. While this grosses us out immensely, the giggles and sweet devilish looks on Leo's face during these exchanges are priceless.
